PLACE OF THE MONTH
Chiddingstone quickly became one of my favourite go-to spots during maternity leave for a takeaway coffee, cake and the guarantee of a beautiful walk. Like stepping back in time, this beautiful historic village (owned by the National Trust but free to visit) is one of the oldest examples of Tudor living in Kent and home to some utterly charming buildings, as well as the stunning Chiddingstone Castle which you can explore at your leisure in exchange for a small donation.
Parking is usually available for free along the road outside of the church, though I would say to avoid the 3-4pm time frame during the week as the road gets very busy at school pick-up time! Once parked up, treat yourself to a takeaway coffee and cake from the charming Tulip Tea Rooms (everything in there is delicious!)
